Another popular park activity is to hire a 10passenger boat in Khao Daeng
village and enjoy the 90-minute ride up the canal before returning to the
village and the sea. The journey costs B200 for the entire boat, and passes
through mangrove swamps rich with species of birds, monkeys, and monitor
lizards. Wildlife is most abundant in the early morning hours and shortly before
sunset, when the eerie lighting and moody scenery guarantee spectacular
photography.
